Bloomin’ Bury? Yeah!
Painted September 2008, live at Cornhill Walk Shopping Centre, Bury St. Edmunds, which was formerly an Art Deco cinema and now refurbished into private apartments.
Bury St. Edmunds has a Bury in Bloom independent charity run by the Bury St Edmunds Society, in operation since 1986:

At the time I was exhibiting at Cornhill Walk, Bury In Bloom prizes were awarded to winning recipients. Hence, I titled this painting accordingly. For some reason Eliza Doolittle’s yell at the horse racing also came to mind, “Move yer bloomin’ arse!”
